Vincent Patanio, DVM

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Patanio obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts -Amherst in 2008. He went on to pursue his DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences where he graduated in 2012. Dr. Patanio completed a one year rotating internship at a large specialty referral hospital in New Jersey, and immediately was hired on as an emergency doctor. In April 2015, Dr. Patanio joined the Emergency and Critical Care team at Northstar VETS where he worked prior Secaucus Animal Hospital.

Dr. Patanio’s professional interests include emergency and critical care medicine. Some of his special interests include trauma care and stabilization, wound management and soft tissue trauma repair, stabilization of critical urinary tract obstruction patients and management of diabetic crisis.

Dr. Patanio has myriad interests and hobbies. When not at work, some of the things he enjoys are spending time with his wife and children, hiking, backpacking, fishing, tying flies, and playing the drums…to name a few.
