Michelle is a New Jersey-certified Animal Control Officer and Cruelty Investigator, possessing more than a decade of experience working with domestic animals and wildlife.  Her areas of specialty include animal care and handling, temperament appraisal, feline socialization and Trap-Neuter-Return, community relations and education.  Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, Michelle was a Producer at MSNBC for more than eight years before pursuing her passion for animal welfare.  She then worked at three municipal animal shelters and a large animal hospital.  Michelle shares her home with three rescued fur-babies… Two cats, named Newark and Mishmellie and a Labrador/Retriever, named Cindy.  Michelle has her black belt in martial arts and enjoys reading, cooking, singing, playing volleyball, and writing poetry.
